Auto-tune, track loops, and digitized beats might be all the rage in music these days, but Detroit’s own Mac Saturn looks to strip rock back to its core with a blue-collar sound.

Comprising of Nick Barone on vocals and rhythm guitar, Carson Macc on drums, Brett Dooge on lead guitar, and Jive on bass, Mac Saturn formed in 2014 playing Pac-Man at a Christmas party. The guys realized that they shared similar tastes in music and have been a group ever since.

Their love of classic rock has been apparent in all of their music since day one. A record producer once told them that they sound like the Eagles if they were from Detroit, while the guys are influenced by Jimmy Reed, the Rolling Stones, and Lynyrd Skynyrd. Their experiences growing up in Metro Detroit, along with those influences, have made what Mac Saturn is today.

“We’ve been fortunate enough to have befriended some pillars of the Detroit community who have punched our ticket to the underground rock ’n’ roll circus. We’re just really happy to be here,” Barone said.

How do you make a truck your own? We're redefining what it means to drive a pickup. With luxurious comfort, a world-class entertainment system, and a 6-position Multi-Flex Tailgate, Silverado is the change you've been waiting for.

The group is gearing up for the release of their second studio album, titled “Stomp Shop.” The ten-track album features catchy guitar riffs, soulful lyrics, and an old-school vibe that makes it feel refreshing and unique. The album is due out on Friday, September 6 on all streaming platforms.

“[It’s] a front-to-back, honest to God, blue-collar rock ’n’ roll record with sufficient evidence to establish responsibility definitively,” Barone said.
